Pitfalls of Day Trading Penny Stocks

For a stock has strong momentum they need good volume behind it. This means that many people buy and sell large quantities. Penny stocks are usually very thin volume (a few people buying and selling, and only in small quantities), so they have no dynamics. Consequently, the performance of any movement that occurs in the price of steam quickly.

Secondly, probability. For a company with high probability, I want the share price to move a long way in one direction. No matter if the price goes up or down, I can make a profit in any way, but you have to go a long way in one direction. The share price between, say, $ 25 and $ 100 will have no problem spending a dollar or more and less than half an hour, and often much faster than that. Take even just 25 cents of this movement is very easy and very profitable.

Instead, most penny stocks do not move, even 25 cents for the day, and almost a whole week. Trading in penny stocks with profit requires that everyone is trying to capture a very small movement. Trading of shares regularly catching a small part of a big move.

Of course, you can try to remove the relatively small number of penny stocks trading their much larger quantities. But the fact is that their small number means their prices move in an irregular and unpredictable. The least thing you can lose your balance. This makes them much more difficult to trade. The odds are stacked against you.

A further complication in trying to trade penny stocks in any quantity is that there may be someone to take the other side of your trade. As I said, penny stocks tend to trade on low volume. If you want to unload a batch of shares in the offer now, you might notice that offer not drop quickly.

Penny Stock Trading is a bit 'like trying to fill a bucket of rain. You can run around trying to catch every little drop, does not know where is the next to fall. Finally, we can fill the bucket, but it is hard work.

On the other hand, it could bring buckets of river and soak in a huge flow of water. You only need to capture only a small portion of water flowing past, to fill a bucket in no time. This is what life is like when you trade in a well-chosen "regular price" stocks.
